Privacy Policy

Road Worthy Games ("Road Worthy", "we", "us") is a voice-first road-trip game published by Bay Tech Ltd., a Canadian company. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

1. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or mailing address
• Account credentials — the app has no accounts and no sign-in
• Contacts, photos, calendar, or health data
• Precise location data
• Recordings of your voice

Player names you enter during setup (for example, "Sophie") are stored only on your device so the host can address players by name. They are never transmitted to us.

2. Microphone and speech recognition

Road Worthy is played by speaking. The app requests microphone access so it can hear your answers.

How your speech is processed

The app uses your device's built-in speech recognition, provided by Apple on iOS and by your device's speech services on Android, to convert what you say into text. Depending on your device, model availability, and settings, this processing may occur entirely on your device, or your device's operating system may transmit audio to the platform provider (Apple or Google) to perform the recognition. That transmission, if it occurs, is performed by your operating system under the platform provider's own privacy policy — not by us.

• We do not record audio. The app does not save audio files.
• We do not receive your audio or transcripts. Recognized text is used in the moment to check your answer and is then discarded.
• The microphone is only active during gameplay. It is not used when the app is in the background or closed.

3. Playing offline

Road Worthy is designed to work in a car with no signal. Game content is stored on your device and the game does not require an internet connection to play.

4. Analytics and future updates

Road Worthy does not currently include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not show ads, and we do not sell data — we have no data to sell.

Future versions may offer an optional "check for updates" feature that downloads new question content when you choose to use it. If that feature reports anything back, it will be limited to anonymous, aggregate information (for example, which answers the game failed to recognize, so we can improve it) and will never include your voice, your name, or anything that identifies you or your device. This policy will be updated before any such feature is released.

5. Purchases

Road Worthy offers optional in-app purchases — a one-time "Unlock Everything" purchase and optional tips. These are processed by Apple (or Google on Android), and we do not receive or store your payment details. Purchases are never required to play the free portion of the game.

6. Children

Road Worthy is a family game and is designed to be played with children in the car. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. See our Children's Privacy page for more detail.

7. Your choices

• Microphone: you can revoke microphone access at any time in your device settings. The app's voice features will not work without it, but you can still play using manual mode.
• Deleting your data: all game data lives on your device. Deleting the app removes it.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here.
